This temple or lhakhang located in the centre of the city Phuentsholing is a representation of the celestial abode of Guru Rinpoche, albeit in concrete.On the ground floor, you will find statues of the eight manifestations of Guru Rinpoche, or the eight principal forms that he assumed at different points in his life. The walls are adorned with paintings depicting the lift of Buddha. On the next floor you will find eight Bodhisattavas and statues of Avalokiteshvara and Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal while the top floor hosts the main statue of Amitabha.

The garden surrounding the modern Zangto Pelri Lhakhang is very pleasant for a stroll and there are generally pilgrims there to pay their homage, spinning the prayer wheels that send their prayers spiralling up into the heavens. This is great for a glimpse into Bhutanese cultural heritage and to witness their intriguing method of worship.
