This is one of the longest beaches on Phuket Island, facing one of the largest bays. The beach used to be a very important tin mine but that industry became declined, and was replaced by tourism; Specifically, the Laguna Resort complex. Almost everything on this beach - restaurant, pubs, and shops - was developed to cater to the guests of the resort. The best swimming is to be had at the north end of the beach where there are coral reefs. If you want to get away from the standardized resort offers, head to Cherngtalay, a tourist village which has bars and restaurants and shops and Spas. You might also want to check out the Wat Cherngtalay temple.

  • I like the size and cleanness of this beach. We were on the south to middle part of the beach and easily found a quiet spot for ourselves. Different bars and restaurants can be found along the beach.

  • Big and beautiful beach. Fruits and water is expensive here. Here are many elderly European men and women who are walking and running on the beach, and doing yoga.

  • Very long beach, very beautiful and good for swimming. Few people at night unless you stay in 5* resort here.

  • Everything is good. Big waves in march. Clean sand and super warm water

  • Soft white sand with the long big pines
