Floating Market Phuket - Review
Deep in the heart of island of Phuket in Kathu District, is what should have been a fairly successful idea - a floating market. Opened in May 2016 in an an old tin mine filled up with water, the market was designed to provide a wide variety of shopping and dining options. Business has been slow to pick up though, and it’s hard to think of it as a full-fledged tourist attraction. But there is a lot of potential here, for both shopping and entertainment. The layout is clean and well organised and doesn’t quite have the bustling energy of the real floating markets of Thailand. The walkways are lovely. Occasionally there are performances on the stage.

It’s official close this place due to lack of busines I have paid a taxi to go there it was a waists of money
Is not a real floating market like in Bangkok or SE Asia but a shopping center designed for tour buses. Well done but can find better stores at Central Festival. Day I was there almost empty of tourist or shoppers. Huge parking lot for busses but was empty.
Never popular, open seldom and half empty. I believe now closed down
Its a trap! Dont do it. Maybe half a dozen shops open at 11am. We were very greatfull to our tuktuk driver who was trying to warn us and then stuck around and waited for us to come back out (a quick stroll maybe 10 minutes ) There are no tuktuks or taxies there
