On the west coast of Phuket Island, south of Patong, is a beautiful beach of aquamarine blue waters and soft white sand enclosed by a canopy of green trees. In other words, this is cliche of tropical beauty. The southern section of the beach is one of the best places the entire island for snorkeling. You won't be disturbed by hawkers trying to sell their wares. There are some ramshackle sports facilities, such as volleyball net and football goal posts. Apparently you need to pay to lay down a towel on the sand, even if that's towel is your own. And while this beach is mostly undeveloped, you do get showers and toilets. There's an extremely tasty Thai restaurant on the south end, and there is a massage center next to the restaurant. Visitors usually love this beach for being much cleaner than Patong Beach.

Freedom Beach, Phuket Reviews - Write a Review
Not worth a visit. One would expect a place of silence and freedom, as the name supplies. However they're charging 200 baht entry for an area full of waste (especially the pathways), too many boats which make noise all the time and even polluted air caused by these boats, I'm not joking. You can get much more quiet, clean and also more beautiful beaches around the area for free.
Beach entry and food at restaurant both over priced for Thailand; however, beach is very private and worth the hot and sweaty trek to get there (twice as bad on way back up in 100 degree heat!) No hawkers to bother you - a perfect location for sunbathing and swimming. Back of beach area behind sunbeds needs a good clean, but generally would recommend a visit.
Took my bike there. Parked at the small parking area with a local there. Cost was just 100baht for the parking. Walking down was definitely not easy... Well going back up was even more challenging... However... Well worth it... Since it's low season.. nearly had the whole beach to myself.
Taking into account that fact that I was were in low season I still was disappointed by several things : - with my wife we were charged for 200 bat per person and I was expecting some kind of service, such as umbrella, dressing room, shower and plank bed but there were nothing of that, - there was a mountain of garbage next to the beach. But at the same time the beauty of that place is easy-to-notice therefore the impression was spoiled by mentioned obstacles.
The beach is hidden from public and i would say its an awesome getaway from crowds and noise, perfect for relaxation specially with ur gf or a bunch of crazy friends, u ll feel like if u own the beach 2 major issues, 1: no bar or restaurant as mentioned so u must bring ur own stuff 2: get sports shoes coz the hick up and down is a killer one
