On the west coast of Phuket Island, south of Patong, is a beautiful beach of aquamarine blue waters and soft white sand enclosed by a canopy of green trees. In other words, this is cliche of tropical beauty. The southern section of the beach is one of the best places the entire island for snorkeling. You won't be disturbed by hawkers trying to sell their wares. There are some ramshackle sports facilities, such as volleyball net and football goal posts. Apparently you need to pay to lay down a towel on the sand, even if that's towel is your own. And while this beach is mostly undeveloped, you do get showers and toilets. There's an extremely tasty Thai restaurant on the south end, and there is a massage center next to the restaurant. Visitors usually love this beach for being much cleaner than Patong Beach.
