Despite being one of the longest beaches on the southern end of the island, this beach has surprisingly little to offer by way of the usual activities. At high tide the water comes into high and there's barely any beach left. At low tide it goes out too far and leaves behind a landscape of mud and rocks. That's not very appealing for anybody. Most people who come here do so to check out the Friendship Bridge Resort and restaurant. The views from the restaurant are supposed to be very nice. Apparently they are some horse riding amenities around too - check the Phuket Riding Club. In the right weather, the beach is actually a great place to work.

• Take a bus, tuk-tuk or a taxi to here.
• Most of the roads leading to the beach pass over Private land. Get to Chalong Pier first, park there, and then walk over.
