James Bond Island - Review
In case you are wondering why this place is named after the legendary British Secret agent, it is because parts of the film "The Man with the Golden Gun" was filmed here. This has made it an iconic and popular tourist destination.
The water is greenish blue whereas the rocks are limestone and hence bright while in color making the place a real sight to be beheld. The place does get pretty crowded sometimes but an off-season trip is a great idea. It is also the perfect place to try kayaking, with its scenic rock faces. You can also have some amazing seafood in and around the area. A must place to visit even if you have just one day in Phuket.

James Bond Island, Phuket Reviews
The Cruise to Phang Nga Island is a one day tour. Many islands are present in this bay that is worth watching. There are many caves on this island that are visited by the tourist. These caves are also visited at night too. This place is not ideal for snorkeling. Though the water here looks amazing but is not crystal clear. This area has some of the most beautiful locations in Thailand. Private cruises and kayaking are also available for this journey. While returning back the boats stop at some of the spots that are ideal for the tourists to swim.
Fabulous place to get away from metropolitan. Ideal locations to explore provided it is not raining!
Breathtaking views from all the locations of this islands. Magnificent surroundings with scattered mountains and rocky surfaces, this island in Thailand attracts visitors from all parts of the world. Boats and ferry rides for sight seeing, with nice staying arrangements and restaurants are available here for visitors.
Khao Phing Kan or Ko Khao Phing Kan is a pair of islands on the west coast of Thailand, in the Phang Nga Bay, Andaman Sea. About 40 metres (130 ft) from its shores lies a 20 metres (66 ft) tall islet Ko Tapu or Khao Tapu. The island is a part of the Ao Phang Nga National Park. Since 1974, when it was featured in the James Bond movie The Man with the Golden Gun, it is popularly called James Bond Island. Before 1974, the island was a rarely visited indigenous area. However, it was chosen as one of the locations for the 1974 James Bond film The Man with the Golden Gun as the hideout for Bond's antagonist, Francisco Scaramanga. After the movie release it turned into a popular tourist destination. Popularity and increased tourism left Khao Phing Kan substantial litter. In 1981, the island became the most famous part of the newly established Ao Phang Nga Marine National Park. Since 1998, it is forbidden for tourist boats to approach Ko Ta Pu. This measure aims to stop erosion of the limestone rocks on and near the islet that might eventually result in the island's collapse. So I highly recommend you to rent a boat and plan for a whole day where Khao Phing Kan will be a short stop. The densely populated island of Koh Panyi with its many restaurants and its big market comes to my mind, but other destinations or snorkeling grounds are certainly possible as well. At low tide, there will be a lot of karst caves you can explore with a canoe nearby.
View is fantastic and very interesting to see how the nature as formed it. The place is a little bit overcrowded as every organized trip goes there. Despite that there are some monk’s monastery caves and other places to visit. You can swim as well and water is clean and nice scenic view.
