Karon Beach - Review
Karon beach is one of the popular beaches of Phuket. It is a great place to enjoy everything related to the sea. There is the sun, the sand, the cocktails, the water-sports and so much more.
It is the second largest beach in Phuket and a real beach-lovers paradise. The best time to visit it is from November to April when the sea is calm and the sun is very pleasant. There is never a dearth of activities to try out in this place. The beach also has a very lively nightlife with bars and pubs to explore in the wee hours of the night. Bargain stores for clothes and other articles line the area leading towards the beach so there is a lot to do for the certified shopaholics. In the end, nothing can compare to a long leisurely walk down this beach in Phuket. Head to the Karon Beach to make the most of your 3 days in Phuket.

Karon Beach, Phuket Reviews
Compared to Phuket Beach, Karon beach is much cleaner and more of a pleasant view. The water is warm doesn’t summarize a pleasant experience...in fact just the opposite. Keep in mind, nothing is free in Thailand. The beach chair cost money, going to the restroom cost money, going to use the changing room cost money...you get the picture. My experience includes this poor lady who guards the restroom and collects money to give entrance. She makes you dip you feet in this dirty bucket water before entering this dark and dank-looking room to rinse...and pay first or you’ll get an earful from the lady. All in all, don’t expect your experience to be like you’re on the Waikiki Beach where rising your body and using the restroom is just part of the public service the city provides. Thailand NEEDS tourists but they are not some accommodating. More reviews to come on the tourist traps of the James Bond Island.
Lovely beach with coarse sand and clear blue waters. You could rent the benches for THB200. Waves can be strong and there are warning flags and people manning the beach, however not sure if their lifeguards.
Love this beach, so beautiful, clean, warm water but still refreshing on a hot day. The waves are incredible, the people are friendly, and the food offered by the local family restaurants are excellent! Love to go back for another visit.
Its a long beach ...may be 2-3 kms long...not much crowded place. Its mostly near to Kata beach which is in south area and in north region is popular for bars and restaurants here. Its a quiet destination and easy for relaxation. but enjoy beer any time ....cheeers !!
Karon features the third longest beach on Phuket Island. Located on the west coast, between Patong to the north and Kata (with which it shares a common municipality) to the south, Karon Beach is the second favourite tourist attraction in Phuket. Karon Beach road is ideal for taking an evening stroll and is mostly occupied by large resorts interrupted by restaurants and shops (including the popular Karon Bazaar). Karon is centred on Luang Poh Chuan Road, towards the southern end of the beach, which houses excellent restaurants and the ‘hottest’ nightlife spot of the resort town. Here the sea is calm throughout the dry season and the sand is fine and powdery.
