About Laem Singh Beach, Phuket

This beautiful beach is a paradox in several ways. Before the internet no one even knew it existed except for a special few who loved it for its seclusion. But once it went viral online the tourists descended en-masse and so did the developers. Now there are rows and rows of sun beds, sea shacks, restaurants and bars, and sports outfits selling water related gear. But yet again this beach manages to surprise, for if you don't like it when it is sunny and crowded, come back when it is cloudy and empty. This is one of those rare beaches that look good in any weather and cloudy days only enhance its appeal. Lunch at the beach restaurant is quite tasty. There is also a Thai Beach massage facility.

Laem Singh Beach, Phuket Reviews

  • Paddled here by kayak from Kamala Beach for great swimming and snorkeling. Small, uncrowded beach was great for sunbathing and swimming, with great snorkeling near the rocks on the east end of the tiny bay. People also arrived by boat taxis from Surin, but it appeared that the roadside entrances to the beach were inaccessible in January 2018, which made this a quiet and uncrowded destination. Definitely one of the top 2 beaches of the 20 or so we visited on Phuket!

  • Currently you can reach that beach just by feet from Kamala beach by climbing the rocks or by boat (shuttle from Surin beach for 100 TBH per person). What you get is a perfect beach with very little people on it, it’s definitely worth going there.

  • Really nice beach hidden in a small bay under a hill where nice traditional Thai houses are hidden in the palm trees. Great place for snorkeling, a lot of tropical fish, blue sea stars, and large anemone fields with nemo fishes. If you get lucky, you might even encounter some squids and sea horses.

  • Turned out to be my favorite beach in Phuket. Small and private, with a laid-back feel, reasonably-priced drinks, massage, and amazing food. People working were very happy and helpful. Very few wandering solicitors. Best day we had by far!

  • Beautiful beach, downside it cost 100bth per person and 100bth per 'bed' to lay down, got yelled at when we placed our towls on the sand in the shade.
