This is the longest beach in Phuket Thailand. And excellent are the hours for that rarest of the islands Pleasures, BMW up the beach. Stretching for nearly 11 kilometres along with the northwest coast, you come across some interesting places that are thankfully not resorts. These include the Sirinath National Park (technically this is on the Nai Yang Beach to the south), the stretch near Phuket International Airport (where you can see the planes coming in, flying low over the beach), the Splash Jungle Waterpark, and the Wat Mai Khao. During the Songkran Festival baby turtles are released on the beach. The sand is golden, and most of the beach makes for excellent swimming. And since this faces the west, it’s beautiful and romantic at sunset. There are some restaurants on the northern end of the beach.
