About Nai Yang Beach, Phuket

This west facing beach is to the south of Mai Khao beach and has relatively more activities, but still benefits from the lack of a main road. It is adjacent to the Sirinat National Park. The airport viewpoint this beach shares with the Mai Khao beach can be considered its northernmost point. The shady palm trees make this beach a popular place to picnic. It’s peppered with little bars and restaurants, so you don't even have to bring your own food or drinks.  It is more popular with the locals than with the tourists and you'll see many of the local kids flying kites.

Nai Yang Beach Information

  • Swimming at those beaches not safe in the summer season.
  • Parking spaces close to the beach are few in number, so try and park close to a big restaurant on your approach to the beach.

  • Awesome beach! If you are driving here by scooter, drive the way above the airport and you will be able to drive on the sidewalk directly to the beach . Someone should be there to direct you. Awesome view of the planes here right on the beach!

  • Awesome experience. Would recommend going early in the morning to catch the right light/avoid crowds.

  • Visited once in mid-December 2017. Good, not crowded beach. Walk 10 minutes to red-yellow flags, this part of the beach is organized for swimming. Pluses: Long, calm, not many people, clean sand, not so strong waves. Can buy some drinks on the road along the beach. Can observe landing airplanes. Can walk in the shade of the trees along the beach. Minuses: far away from everything, except the airport. No toilets (haven't seen any), no sun beds, no cafés. Overall, a semi-wild beach. 7/10.

  • Great beach with no hassles if you can get by the entrance without getting hit with the 200 Bath foreigner entrance fee...

  • MEMORIZIBLE!!! 🏖️🛬 One of the best place to take a swimm, selfie or just enjoy smell of kerosine and sound of turbojet airplane engines. Wherever you have been before or after this, photos or vids of this place will be the first you will show to your friends/family. Amazing! Fantastic! Airplanes comes one after another, so you always get a second chance. Memorazible!
