About Patong Boxing Stadium, Phuket

Other countries have boxing, various martial arts, fencing and the like, but Thailand has Muay Thai, also known as The Art of the Eight Limbs'. At this stadium, 3 nights a week, you get to see some of the greatest talent in this local martial arts fight it out in visceral battles. Organizers at the stadium pride themselves for not hosting staged fights. This is the real, brutal deal. The atmosphere on match nights is pretty intense. And while there will be plenty of opportunity for you to gamble on the outcome of the mattress, you should know gambling on fights is technically illegal in Thailand. The stadium can hold about 350 people and there are concessions in the form of popcorn and beer.

  • Excellent fights. It was more than I expected. They Really know how to make you excited with music and they offer beer and french fries in case you are hungry. The fights were so real and eye catching. We arrived late around 10 so was just on time for the professional fights. But do arrive earlier as the good seats (ringside) were sold out after 10pm.

  • Good place, fights every night. The last few fights and the crowds were leaving early and one fighter looked like he took a dive to get the last fight on. Good place though. One guy took a serious head injury.

  • Alot of fun, one of the highlights of patong for me. Don't bother getting the ringside seats, I thought the stadium seating had a better view. Just bring something to sit on as the benchs are quite hard.

  • Really enjoyed this definetly worth the price good to see the promoter still there enjoying his fights!

  • go every time when in phuket. great entertainment. fun times.
