About Phuket Aquarium, Phuket
Though this aquarium is quite small it has been extensively renovated and a terrific central exhibit has been added. This is the ‘Tunnel’, a 10 meter long glass underwater walk. It is thrillingly immersive. Right outside the tunnel is giant cod in its own large tank. Some of the other fish you can expect to see here include sharks, piranhas, cuttlefish, seahorses, dolphins, eel and colorful tropical fish. If you’re inclined to scuba dive around Phuket, the aquarium has some good resources on what you should expect to see in the waters surrounding the island. The aquarium’s other main task is to conduct marine biological research, and to breed sea turtles.

Phuket Aquarium, Phuket Reviews
We took a cab here and it was a pleasure to kill 2 hours here looking at the sea life and exhibits. The aquarium seems a bit worn. The moving stairs under the largest tank wasn't working, but it was still nice to take a long stroll under the tank. The most notable parts of the aquarium and the sea horses and the giant grouper. Although small, it's relaxed atmosphere was nice. There's also an excellent gift shop before your exit with reasonably prices gifts and snacks. I paid 20 baht for an ice pop.
The place is pretty good! The dorm show is not what you expect, it's not good! The rest of the place is fun, it's not world class but it's a good pitstop! You can get some great pictures but the reflection of the lights around makes it a challenge!
It is located near the sea side. The ticket is 300bath per entrance for foreigner and half for children below 12. Inside the aquarium has Thailand Pavilion for mermaid show. The show is about the awareness of the human behaviour towards sea environment. More than that it shows about fishes and deep sea creatures.
A quaint smaller aquarium, good for a couple of hours to help keep the kids entertained. Entry fee was reasonable, they perform feeding shows several times a day.
What a great way to spend a rainy day in Phuket! The price of entry was very reasonable, and the aquarium was amazing. Lots of fish, lots of information about each species. Sadly the turtle pool was shut when we were there so I could not see this, but I still enjoyed my visit very much. I would recommend for adults and children alike.
