Phuket Bird Park - Review

This is a sister park to the enchanting Phuket Botanical Gardens, owned and operated by the same entity, and so clearly certain standards are met. And while the collection of exotic tropical birds from all around the world is certainly spectacular, the real attraction here is the twice-a-day bird shows. The staff gets their charges to execute tasks birds shouldn’t be able to do, for example, ride bicycles, do math and guess your age. Your camera is sure to be clicking away at top speed. Birds you can expect to see include parrots, ostriches, hornbills, Eagles, magpies, and even chickens and turkeys. The layout is utterly charming. There are a couple of cafes you should check out if the day is getting hot.

Phuket Bird Park, Phuket Reviews

  • The parrot enclosure was great. Only 100 baht to have the staff give a bunch of corn where you can have anywhere between 1 or 10 birds on you at once! The stage show was also worth the entry price and these birds appear to be well trained and cared for. Unfortunately the rest of the enclosures for the remaining animals are quite poor.

  • Relatively small but greatly entertaining. Species variety is not vast, but still the exhibition is quite informative. Feeding parrots is absolutely great - they eat from your hand sitting on your shoulder, head or hand. The staff provides with seeds for feeding. Kids scream with delight!

  • Great place for family and would suggest to visit the place before the last bird show. Price decent maybe due to low season.

  • Good place to visit.. u can see crocodiles and rabbits too.. and yes big sweetwater fish..

  • The park is small. Just for a quick visit with the kids. We had tickets pre-booked with an agency that we found in Phuket Map. Was much cheaper than 500 THB at the entrance. There are show-times for the bird shows that last for about 40 minutes. Life hack is that you have to come well before the show to enjoy feeding birds at a small aviary. Touristic place. Do not expect food outlets - there are plenty of those nearby. Crazy GREEN people like to post "Free Them ALL" and "Must be closed" comments. It is still ok. These animals would have been much faster killed in the wild than in these cages.
