About Phuket Bird Park, Phuket
This is a sister park to the enchanting Phuket Botanical Gardens, owned and operated by the same entity, and so clearly certain standards are met. And while the collection of exotic tropical birds from all around the world is certainly spectacular, the real attraction here is the twice-a-day bird shows. The staff gets their charges to execute tasks birds shouldn’t be able to do, for example, ride bicycles, do math and guess your age. Your camera is sure to be clicking away at top speed. Birds you can expect to see include parrots, ostriches, hornbills, Eagles, magpies, and even chickens and turkeys. The layout is utterly charming. There are a couple of cafes you should check out if the day is getting hot.

Phuket Bird Park, Phuket Reviews
Well worth the visit, and you must be there for the spectacular and very entertaining bird show. 4 stars instead of 5 as I thought the cages were far too small for the birds. Even so, an essential and fun place to visit. Allow yourself 2.5 hours visiting time, though.
This place is very popular for tour group. It is suitable for all age. However due to we have to pay a lot for feeding animal, so I can give only 4 stars rate. But the show is great, please do not miss the show.
My experience at the bird park started off quite badly, just like almost everything else in it. When we were buying the tickets, we were arguing for a long time because they didn't choose to believe us that I am just a tall twelve year old. They asked us for a pasport for PROOF that I am 12 and believe it or not, we didn't think that we would have to bring my pasport to A BIRD PARK. We showed everything we could, me in school uniform, an email from school and then we were basically forced to pay the adult price for me. When we got into the park, the bird cages were TINY. Then, we saw heaps of skinny bunnies all in this very, very, very small cage, basically climbing on top of each other. You had to pay 50 B to feed them with some vegetables, and it was the only time they were fed. When I was feeding them, I had never seen hungrier poor little animals. The only things I really enjoyed were the bird show, and there were a few cool birds other than that.
May not be the cheapest entry given the variety inside, but a good place to spend time. I quite enjoyed the bird show. Quite Bollywood-music / drama like :) More photos and details on my blogs - nycbonvivant[dot]wordpress[dot]com nycbonviveur[dot]wordpress[dot]com
Nice surroundings and staff is quite friendly. Cages are awful, too small and not maintained. The stench is most of the time unbearable. The show was quite nice. What bothered me the most was the constant money begging. Pay for food, pay for feeding crocodiles, pay for a photo. And not even cheap. Even in the show, our daughter had to hold up a hundred baht, so that a bird could steal it from her!! If you ever have the chance, visit the bird park in Bali! We thought it would be similar, boy, were we wrong.
