Touristic fishing isn’t usually a big part of Phuket’s attractions, but this place makes it worth trying out. The variety of good catches here is intense - Giant Mekong Catfish, Striped Catfish, Giant Siamese Carp, Striped Snakehead, Featherback, Rohu, Alligator Gar, Pacu, are Tilapia the major game you ought to be looking for. There’s a great Thai restaurant on site, showers and toilets, and also a bait and tackle shop to fully kit you out. If you want to fly-fish though, you’ll have to bring your own equipment. Also note that some areas of the lake may be closed to fly-fishing. If you need help, the professionals are always happy to give you some advice.
