Phuket Weekend Market - Review
A word of warning before you head into the treasures of this Market. If there's anything in the market that looks branded, it is fake. This has practically no exceptions. The market basically has three sections. The covered section has the second hand goods, and it is quite intriguing, with a items of fair to good quality. The open section is the new goods. And the last section is the food section. There are a lot of clothes, accessories, everyday items, bags and perfumes. If you want quality, try to look for the stuff made by local designers. Do not by any high priced items here. In food, you’ll find corn, BBQ meats, fishcakes, fried everything, beer and ice-cream, to name a few.

Enjoyed this weekend market very much. There's a mix of food stalls, clothing and other interesting fare. Also some live performance too. Lively atmosphere on a old part of phuket town street that's closed to traffic for the weekend market. Definitely recommend it.
This market is busy on the weekend. There is a reasonable selection of food. Being in southern Thailand, expect more fish based flavours. Plenty of chicken based dishes exist too though, as well as vegetarian options! Prices are good and you can get enough food to fill two people for under 600 bhat. In June 2018 there was a vendor selling deep fried chicken strips in Korean sauces at B130/12 pieces which is more than enough to fill you up. The stores lining the road have good deals too. Shop around, you can find linen shirts for B250, and lots of options for souvenirs. At the west end of the road there is a little shop where the lady sells croucheted hand-made goods which are a must-see. All of the businesses are locally owned and support the community. Google says the market closes at 9, but I found it didn't wind down until around 10 when it wasn't raining.
probably the nicest street in Phuket, no bars and sleaze. Make it clear that the weekend market is only on Sundays and it's a really nice event with positive energy. It's more like a modern indy market than the traditional local ones. Since it's held on thalang road itself its easy to find. Lots of food stalls and buskers make it a lively place.
Great variety of things to buy, cheaper than other places in Thailand. A vibrant street market that continues til late night. Street food is cheap and smells amazing. Lively, busy and live music every few metres. Not for those who don't like crowds though. A must for anyone who visits phuket!
Great market. Awesome range of street food at good prices, a lot of it cheaper than we've seen elsewhere. Good range of products, and a lot of it was quite different to the products at other markets/bazaars we went to. A lot less tshirts, more of everything else.
