Promthep Cape - Review
You know, those beautiful shorelines with the dark brown rocks and the beautiful blue seawater foaming around them that you see on wall-papers of people’s computers? Is it your dream to visit a place like that? In Phuket you actually can. The Laem Phrompthep viewpoint is one of those magical places that transport you into paradise right here on earth.
The gurgling water is picturesquely set against a rocky landscape. The palm trees, the hills and the stunning surroundings make Laem Phrompthem a popular tourist destination. There are restaurants where you can enjoy a good Thai meal overlooking a magical sight with trees birds and the sea. You also have the option of making a trek even higher up from this point to get a unique perspective on this area. If not, there are several shops that you can spend your time exploring. Make it a must visit part of your Phuket 2 days itinerary.

Absolutely stunning landscape. Picture perfect. Just can't soak in enough of it. No picture can do justice to the sheer pleasure of just sitting and watching the waves splash the shore while the more than gentle breeze blows around. Each tree, its leaves, yr hair, flowing dresses acknowledge the breeze with happiness.......
Nice place to enjoy the sunset on a slightly clouded day. You can also walk down the hill (but be careful, the path has a couple steep sections and can be very slippery after rainfall). The place is however nowadays overcrowded with mainly Asian tourists. So very busy from 1 hour before sunset...
Short walk up to the large viewing platforms. A lighthouse and an elephant monument at the top. Great views. Seemed like possible to hike down to the cape. Saw folks there but no clear paths leading there. Some shops at the car park.
Nice for sunset view. Good for taking photo. Really crowded during the evening. Slippery track if rains.
An amazing place! Sure, you’ll find loads of tourists here during the day, but do make an effort to visit close to evening and night time - an absolute gem of a getaway!
