Wat Chalong Temple - Review

Wats are Buddhist Temples that are important and sacred places for the Buddhists in Thailand. The Wat Chalong is a very beautiful temple of this sort and is considered to be the most important of the 29 that exist in Phuket.

This temple has a sharp and tall roof and typical Thai Buddhist architecture. It is a gorgeous site but entering it will make you realize its importance as a religious place. Calm and serene, it instills a sort of peace in every soul. Surrounded by greenery and full of intricately designed serene interiors it is an important place for both the tourists and the locals. There is also a market not far from there, in which all the profits from the shops go to the temple. If you have 3 days in Phuket, this Buddhist Temple is a must in your itinerary.

Wat Chalong Temple, Phuket Reviews

  • Amazing, beautifully constructed temple that is a definite must see if you are in Phuket. If you're lucky enough to go on a clear sunny day the sunlight reflecting off the gold panels is a sight to behold. You can also see the Big Buddha in the distance. Be mindful of the dress code for ladies (no shorts and no bare shoulders). You can also borrow a sarong from the temple to wrap over your clothes if you like.

  • This is a must see if you are in Phuket. Such a beautiful place. Make sure to dress respectfully as you are in a temple. Amazing photo opportunities at every turn. We had a vegan meal while we were there and it was delicious. You can get the blessed bead bracelets here as well if you’re into that :).

  • Just another place with compulsory visit if you are going to Phuket. A fabulous demonstration of the Thai Art. If the external architecture scenery could bring you up to admiration, it is nothing regarding what you can find indoor any these temples. The smallest detail is absolutely beautiful and the association of all these chiseling become a delight and enchantment. The most impressive will be to discover that each temples are fully unique generating an incredible diversity on a same area. We have already scheduled to visit again this place considering that it was too much for an only one visit.

  • Biggest temple in Phuket. A very beautiful place. Must Visit place. Its a Bhuddhist temple and you need to be dressed properly while entering. you also have to take off your footwear before entering the temple.

  • The must visit place in Phuket. Thailand has very unique Buddhist temple. Loved the mixture of Thai culture and Buddhism. There are some small shops selling food and souvenirs. Ample parking space. Must visit place!!
