This Temple looks remarkable and also has a nice story. Once Upon a Time the wife of the city's ruler was accused of having an affair. Before her punishment she requested to travel to Sri Lanka. She built this temple on her return and afterwards was sentenced to death, but upon her execution it was shown her blood was white, and that was a proof of her innocence. Inside the temple you will find the statues known as the Three Kings, which are the world's oldest and largest Buddha statues made of tin. By some accounts this is the oldest temple on the island. The temple also commemorates the Battle of 1785 when the people of Phuket fought of the Burmese Army.
