Windmill Viewpoint - Review

Up on a hill between the Ya Nui and Nai Harn Beaches is one of the most scenic vistas on the island, photographed and pasted innumerable times onto Phuket’s tourists brochures. Tall windmills that are visible from far away face out over the sea. To get there, drive south past Nai Harn beach and be on the lookout for a sharp right turn. Out to the sea you’ll see a curiously shaped island, the Koh Man, vessels in the water, the cute Ya Nui Beach, or even some model aeroplane flying. But in all honesty the only time really worth coming is during sunset, when the color of the sky and the sea will stun you into silence.

  • From the The Windmill Viewpoint you have the most stunning of the southern part of the Island. The viewpoint has got its name from the wind turbines in the area. . . The wind turbines were some of the first I saw in Thailand, they have been there for many years already. There are of course not the biggest and most modern anymore. If you want to see modern giant wind turbines, cross over to the east coast of Thailand, there I've seen some huge and impressive windmills.

  • The wind is blowing really fast in here.. so keep in mind that you tangle all your loose thing. they also have small toilet in the parking area if you need one. small stall is available to sell coconut and juices. if go down few steps, there is a litle flat field for taking pictures and less crowded compared to the top.

  • This place is nice for a sunset . 360 views points you can see Phromthep cape from here also ( Must visit )

  • Beautiful viewpoint. They've made a decent sized car park now so you don't need to hurry-hurry-take-picture while you're blocking the road! What is most surprising is that it's FREE! Very unusual for Phuket! There is also a toilet and a kiosk selling fresh fruit and refreshments.

  • Simply breathtaking view! Mother's nature at her best must stay till evening to see the beautiful sunset at the horizon if sky is not too cloudy & if you are thirsty or need fruit juices a stall is just nearby.. If mother nature calls toilets are available Good photo opportunity....
