9 of us stayed in Big Black Bear Lodge for 4 nights. We had an amazing time. Definitely recommend staying here. The lodge could fit up to 13 people, but I think that would have felt crowded. Pros: - Everything was clean and ready for us on arrival - Great customer service, even during busy times (we were there during 2017 eclipse madness) - Hot tub in a great secluded spot on lower deck. - Beds and couches comfortable and clean, new sheets were provided on-demand. - Washer and dryer on the lower level to clean hiking clothes. Minor cons: - Kitchen equipment is mismatched. There was a 2-gallon cooking pot, but only a couple of tiny frying pans, and a 4" square cutting board. Made it interesting trying to prepare meals for 9 people. :) - The choice of photos on the resort website makes it seem like the pool is directly outside the cottage. In fact it's at the bottom of the hill from the cottages, just a minute or two to walk there.
We stayed 5 nights at Above the Stars and it was so beautiful. We had 17 people in this 12 bedroom 12 bathroom house and you didn't feel crowded. Kitchen supplies were mismatched and it could use more dish towels. We really loved our stay. We had some issues right away that a nice gentleman came and fixed for us. The customer service at check in was non existent which was frustrating - someone was in the office space at check in sleeping on the couch. Since we didn't have to deal with that person again after that it was great!!! Thanks for a beautiful vacation cabin!!
Wonderful Cabin with large bedrooms and huge living and dining rooms. Great for a family get together. Also the game rooms are great too if you have children. Can't wait to stay again.
We just spent 5 nights at "Almost Heaven" cabin in Pigeon Forge. We were 3 families totaling 9 people, and there was plenty of room for all of us. We arrived to check in, our cabin was ready and staff was friendly and helpful, even got us Dixie Stampede tickets at a great price. Our cabin was well stocked with everything except for food and laundry detergent. We were very close to the main street and The Island, yet nicely secluded. The kids had fun at the pool and game room. We are already working on our next Smokey Mountain Vacation and definitely looking forward to renting here again. We truly enjoyed our vacation and the cabin stay was a very nice experience. Highly recommending it. Ida R.
We stayed in the "Smoky Bear Cabin"! It was beautiful! The perfect size for my boyfriend & I and 2 kids (ages 12 & 14)! Easy virtual check-in worked great! The cabin was clean when we arrived and had everything we needed for the 6 night stay! Very cozy! Can't wait to come back again next year!
