Ever wanted to fly like a bird? Take off the ground and soar high in flightless wings. Make your dream a reality at Flyaway Indoor Skydiving. You will have no fear of jumping from a plane or falling out of the sky. This is America’s first vertical wind tunnel where you halt the bonds of gravity and fly up. The opportunity to test yourself and find out if you have the courage is waiting for you. At the Flyaway Indoor Skydiving, you can fly solo or participate in a programme with a coach. It is a popular training resort for sport skydivers, teams and military personnel. You do not need previous experience, they will teach you what you need to know. You have to attend a 20 minute class where they teach body control and safety. Next is getting to know your equipment. You will receive a suit, helmet, goggles, earplugs, and gloves. After they follow up the basics, a group of five enters the wind tunnel with their instructor. Each person is given a flying time of 3 minutes. The flying session lasts for 15 minutes.
Registering for a class is on first come, first serve basis. During business hours, classes are conducted every hour and half-hour. The best time to fly is early in the day. Be prepared to spend an hour and 15 minutes on your visit. Almost everyone can fly but you need to be in good physical condition. Make sure that you do have back or shoulder problems. You can even watch from a deck and pick up a few tips watching others fly. Small children should be mature enough to pay attention to the instructor and follow all instructions. Tunnel Flying is an athletic activity and it takes experience and skill to master. Everyone progresses at their own pace with the help of their instructors.

Flyaway Indoor Skydiving Reviews & Ratings
I took my 19 year old daughter and 22 year old niece for indoor skydiving and they had a blast! All the instructors seemed very qualified! Our instructor was Danny and he made the girls feel at ease, had a great personality and made them want to come back again next time we are in Gatlinburg! It’s not advertised on their website but they do accept tips.. trust me, after watching the skill required to train quickly and hold onto the students.. a tip is totally deserved! Keep up the good work guys!!
The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. My two kids (12 and 9 years old) were eager yet nervous to try indoor skydiving. The staff reassured them they'd love it. Needless to say, they loved the experience! The instructor assisted them during their session. Everyone was safe and exited the tunnel with looks of amazement and joy in their faces. Scheduling, instruction, waivers, suiting up, and completion of the session was easy and efficient. If you are staying in Pigeon Forge area, this is a great family activity from parents to the children. It is a great value!
Great experience for the price! Very good deal with a lot of fun! Kids have a blast, adults realize their not as limber but have fun too! Staff are straight to the point for safety and it works for training students. I would like to see them be a little more professional and promote flying progression into skydiving.
My son did this. He loved it. It's cool but it's only 3 minutes of fly time, 10$ a minute. I think you should get more time for the cost. If you order the video package it's another $20.
Excellent instruction. My sister and I got put into a group with 4 young ones, and they had us all flying on our own at least a little bit. I don't know about all the instructors, but if you get in a group with Caleb, you're gonna have a fantastic time.
