Historically log cabin construction has its roots in Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. By stacking tree trunks one on top of another and overlapping the logs at the corners, people made the cabins. The construction did not have nails. In the present-day United States, settlers may have first constructed log cabins in 1638. With this history in mind, head off to Log Cabin Pancake House and enjoy a hearty meal. Founded in 1969, this family business was created to provide great food and great service. Log Cabin Pancake House Reviews & Ratings
Wait time was excellent, considering there were only two of us, with seating immediately upon arrival. Atmosphere was pleasant and restaurant/restrooms were clean. Unfortunately it was OVERPRICED for the amount and quality of food. Ham was salty, eggs were rubbery, biscuits were dry and gravy was cold. If anyone had been waiting in the lobby upon our exit, we would have suggested finding another place to eat. Once was enough.
The line was a little long at first, but we were seated very quickly. The service was amazing. All friendly, smiling, faces. And they were very attentive. The food was delicious and did not take long to get to our table. Would recommend to anyone for a delicious meal!
Hostess was a pro and handled a long line in minutes remembering everyone by face. Service was immediate and friendly. Broad menu included included original pancake choices, omelets, great crepes and vegetarian options. Pancakes and crepes light and fresh, eggs cooked perfectly. Real butter upon request at no extra charge. About a dollar less expensive on everything than a bad place further up the strip we ate at on our first day in town. Tickets keyed and itemized and fast. Great coffee. Highly recommended.
They do seem to like pancake restaurants around here, and this is a pretty good one. Good selection on the menu, and pleasant, attentive waitresses. Very reasonable prices. Breakfast and lunch only, as most of these seem to be.
My mom and I have gone there twice and both times the food is absolutely fantastic. The buckwheat pancakes taste like the kind my gran used to make!! The staff are the sweetest ladies!! We will make this place a regular stop on our yearly vacation in the Smokies.
