The Island Reviews & Ratings
My group of friends enjoyed a fabulous night at The Island last night that was capped off with a wonderful carousel ride hosted by Cathy. She was a fantastic host and provided us with all of the must-sees in Pigeon Forge. Great conversation and the definition of true Southern Hospitality.
This is one of my favorite places to visit when I go to Pigeon Forge. I just go to sit next to the fountain and watch the lights. It's the most relaxing place I know. The stores around are definitely worth the trip by themselves, but the light show adds to the experience. Be sure to stop by! Free parking and free trolley up if you don't want to walk.
There are many great shops all in a convenient location as well as food, lodging and things for the kids to do. It makes for a nice stop if your visiting the area or willing to fight traffic as a local. Probably wouldn't give it four stars normally as I'm a local and not one who wishes to fight traffic and see the same shops, but thinking objectively it earns it.
Fun place to visit. Stayed close by last time. Stayed at the Margaritaville Island Hotel last night. Walked the island a few times, did some shopping, walked to the Pirate's Voyage for dinner, and went on the Wheel after dark. The view at the top was great, the hotel had a wonderful view, the fountains were fun to watch, and the store employees were very helpful. Will be stopping there again when I'm in the area.
This place is a one stop shop. There is so much to do and it's centrally located to everything. If your plans are to go I would suggest a room view of the shops or fountain. And if you're looking for somewhere to eat The Old Mill Pottery is awesome. There are two, The Old Mill Pottery and Old Mill Pottery Restaurant. Old Mill Pottery is the bees knees.
