The Pigeon Forge Mill, also known as the Old Mill, is a historic gristmill in the U.S. city of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The mill was initially used to grind grain, mainly corn, wheat, and oat, for local farmers. During the U.S. Civil War (1861–1865), the mill powered several looms which produced cloth for the military. In the early 1900s, a generator was installed at the mill which provided electricity to the area until 1930. Now a souvenir shop and restaurant, the mill has become a popular stop for passing tourists. Sit at tables at the Old Mill Restaurant overlooking the river that flows to the waterwheel, powering the gigantic stones that have ground the restaurants cornmeal and grits since 1830.
Here your taste buds are taken to a new height with their dinner specialties. They are served in lavish portions along with their signature corn chowder, salad, fresh vegetables and dessert. Their famous pecan pies are made from scratch. The whole grains are stone grinded and used for breads, grits, hush puppies, muffins and pancakes. Even the bread crumbs required for fried chicken, cat fish and pork chops are made here. The experience of having a meal at the Old Mill Restaurant is unique and the hospitality of the staff ensures you come back for more.
Ingredients are available on purchase in their general store. From bags of stone ground meal and custom soup mixes to fully prepared jams, jellies, dressing and sauces.

The Old Mill Restaurant, Pigeon Forge Reviews - Write a Review
We love their food! But they need to do something different in how they take your name. They really do themselves a great disservice to not take reservations or take names outside at the bottom of the ramp. Not enough parking and 100's of people just standing around blocking traffic and causing more problems. Not well organized for the 21st century. But again awesome food and always had great service!
Food & service was excellent. All meals are $19.99 at dinner time. For most couples one meal is enough for both. I had fried chicken dinner. It included soup, salad, 3 chicken breast, mashed taters, green beans and choice of dessert. I forgot about the corn muffins they amazing with the maple.
Took my kids on a walk to Patriot Park and afterwards they were all hungry...saw the menu outside but decided it was more than we wanted to spend on breakfast. There was a lady outside working on a few things. She said we should give it a try - that we would enjoy it. Decided to go for it. Everything was superb. Service was quick and the food portions were larger than expected. When we went to pay for our order, we were told that our ticket was taken care of. I believe the lady outside the store paid for our breakfast. It was very kind of her to do that! Definitely a place to enjoy a meal. We plan on going back!
FRESH tasting food, excellent home style environment. Party of one or party of 20, they are excellent with services, food is great, wait staff was so friendly almost family. Wanted so much to invite staff to sit and join in on our family meal and gathering. Definitely a great place. Beautiful atmosphere for photo opportunity as well .
I was really impressed with the service, food, and atmosphere of this restaurant in the middle of a "tourist town". The servings are plentiful for the price, which is very reasonable. The servers are friendly and make sure you're meal is pleasant. I had breakfast here and I can recommend the "Old Mill Country Breakfast". So good!
