Soldiers Leap is one of the most beautiful spots in Pitlochry which is basically a small pass of Killiecrankie. Soldiers Leap acts as midway between Blair Atholl and Pitlochry. The leap is 5.5 meters wide and you can enjoy the stunning landscape including the gushing waterfall and lush greenery. The name comes from the fact that a Redcoat soldier leaped 18 feet across the river from this point. When you are here, you can enjoy the picturesque views from the footbridge too and indulge in wildlife viewing. The wildlife in the area includes woodpeckers, squirrels, and pine martens.
