The Korean War Memorial by the Allegheny River is located between PNC Park and Heinz Field. One of the best features of the memorial is its slightly slanting stature that lets sunlight enter through the vertical spaces. You will see that as the sun travels from the horizon, the spectrums of light flashes onto the ground and illuminate every word from the shared experience of individual people. After the 60th anniversary of the Korean War, the Korean War Memorial was set up in 2013 to commemorate the fallen soldiers, their contribution and the end of the fatal war. Surrounded by the trees and shrubs, the memorial is set up in a secluded spot. The wall by the memorial bears the names of the veteran and fallen soldiers while the various plaques including the four large ones bear the history of the war.
