Located at an altitude of 600 meters and about four kilometers northwest of the village Katafygi, the Petra monastery dedicates its name to the assumption of Virgin Mary. The monastery is one of the most important monasteries of the Agrafa area. This monastery is a place of great historical significance. This monastery is 50 meters long and 53 meters wide. It consists of an arched-tower on the eastern side. This monastery is a great place to observe what is left of the ancient culture and civilization.
