  • This place is great! This is our 3rd time staying at this resort. We have stayed in the villas each time, and wouldn't stay in any other room. The service you receive is next to none, and goes far above and beyond expectations. The staff in the villa pool area are great, Margherita is the best server on the resort, she is nice, and welcoming. There is far too much to praise to give on a short review. I will absolutely stay here again in the future.

  • Went here two years ago for honeymoon, we loved it and always talk about going back. The room and the property were amazingly clean and beautiful. Lots of wildlife and awesome drinks. The shows were fun, and it was easy to set up rides into town and pick excursions. Staff was very friendly. Only cons for us: Restaurants were not good. You had to make reservations, we went to two of them and did not enjoy the food at all. The buffet was much better and had amazing mangos. :) Hard to find a resort with amazing food in my opinion.

  • Just returned from the Grand Riviera Princess. We booked through Sunwing for a 7 night stay. The hotel is wonderful. Probably one of my best AI stays. The rooms and grounds are very neat and clean. The beach was okay. There are a few rocky seaweed spots but mostly good. I required a gluten-free diet and there were no problems getting that.we stay at resort the whole week except for a 1/2 data shopping trip at Playa del Carma. One of the store owners said he was a bartender at the resort and convinced us to go into his store. We realized that he saw our wrist bands and was not a worker at the resort. A few more store owners tried it but we just ignored them. I would recommend this resort.

  • We stayed here for vacation after or cruise was canceled last minute. We found the resort last minute and were a little bit nervous about it. We love this resort. We had a jacuzzi suite and it is fantastic. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. The food is also very good. Especially the themed restaurants. We would come back anytime. I think we would want to pay extra for the rooms that have pool access though. This resort is an A+++!!!

  • This resort has the potential to be great but the customer service is lacking. The resort offers all inclusive meals but a reservation is required for the main restaurants. I tried to reserve dinner for the week the first day I arrived and all the popular restaurants were filled to capacity so I had to take what ever restaurant with open slots which meant eating dinner at 9:15pm each day. The only restaurant open without reservation requirements was the buffet, which didn't have the best selection of food. When eating at the restaurants I notice many vacant seats. It felt like the reservations were to limit the people from jumping from place to place, lack of staff or to limit the "all inclusive" benefits. Aside from this the room was beautiful and cozy enough for a good nights sleep. The pools were very warm (not refreshing) and had many tiles missing. Certain buildings looked like it lacked maintenance and the drinks (liquor) were made weak. It seemed like they were trying to preserve the liquor. I stayed at the Grand Oasis in Cancun and the drinks were nice n strong. The resort does not offer a coffee shop although they offer coffee at the restaurants. The restaurants opened at 7am but the excursions offered leave at 7am which meant we could not have breakfast before leaving. The wait staff did not really pay attention to us, I finished my meals with one drink. I didn't get refills, it seemed like the wait staff was overwhelmed and their lack of enthusiasm confirmed it. I will not be visiting this resort again.
