The Nuestra Senora del Carmen Catholic Church is located near the famous 5th Avenue and is most loved for its architecture and design. The pristine white exteriors with plastered a entrance (with three bells) and walls welcome you to a main altar that has a rather unique tropical design. Plants and creepers are placed around the statue of Jesus on the cross and the minimal seating beaches complete the interiors along with a beautiful vaulted ceiling and the paintings seen on the side walls. It’s amazing how beautifully the church captures the mood of the outdoors in its vicinity. For locals, the church is a community space with the mass hour being a highlight and the special markets that are set up here to sell décor and religious items. If you are lucky, you might just visit the church during a wedding!
