Home to 30 species of indigenous birds of the Yucatan peninsula, the Xaman Ha Aviary offers close encounters with birds like colourful macaws, parrots, Yucatan Jays, Altamira Orioles, ibis, spoonbills, egrets, great curassow, toucans, ducks, pink flamingos and storks. The aviary is maintained in its natural state without disturbing mush of the habitat and even though it is quiet a small place, it is still interesting to spot colourful birds fly around and to simply here them chirp. The pond area is the highlight of the place and where you can easily find pink flamingos. If you are into wildlife photography, this place might just give you a few stunning photos!
