Clock Tower of Podgorica is one of the very few Ottoman landmarks that have survived the destruction caused in Podgorica during the World War 2. This stone tower stands tall at 19 metres and was built by Sahat Kula in the 17th century. The clock tower has played a very important role in the history of Podgorica as the metal cross installed at the top of the tower symbolizes transfer of the city from the Ottomans to the Christian Montenegrins. The Clock Tower was renovated in 2012 and is an interesting place to visit for the history lovers.
