Phewa lake is one of the big lakes in Nepal. This Lake is elongated from West to East and covers large area of Pokhara city. The interesting part of Phewa lake is that, it has a glorious beautiful temple of goddess in the middle of the lake. Many people just come and take a ride to visit the deity. Beautiful exciting boating experience. People take a random walk along side the lake and due to this reason, especially in the evening, the lake side area is very crowded. There are lots of pub, restaurants and bars along side the lake and it is such a wonderful place to enjoy the evening.
One of the most beautiful lake of Nepal. Fewa Lake in Pokhara is the second largest lake in Nepal. It covers an area of about 4.43 sq. km and has an average depth of around 8.6 m. The lake is a major attraction to those who are drawn to water sports or families who simply love absorbing the beautiful scenery. The warm water of the lake is inviting and ideal for a trip on a little wooden boat. The boats can be rented along the shoreline o an hourly basis or even for an entire day. Sailboats are also available but there isn’t enough wind. The Annapurna Range and the Dhaulagiri Range loom in a distance. On a perfectly calm day, the mountains are mirrored on the surface of the lake. Away from the shore, the water is clean and deep and the dense forest along the south side of the lake is rich in wildlife. The lake also holds religious importance. The holy Barahi temple is situated on an island in the lake.
