  • Well, I always said I'd never step inside a brothel, but I guess there's a first time for everything. ;) The place itself is surprisingly small. The upper deck was reconstructed and only the base ground is original. The "descriptive" paintings on the walls are worth the visit, however.

  • It's a very beautiful site, full with history, it's a MUST if you're visiting Naples, but there are some things you need to know before. First of all, there are some places where you can get tickets just in the railway station, but don't! The price is much higher plus the site is 300m far, it's a total scam. The purpose is not to wait on the line once you get to the site, but it doesn't take too much time, max 20min. Also, they propose a guide tour for like 15€ each, and last for 2hours. You won't need it, really! They were like ' if you don't take a guide tour you'll only see some rocks and understand nothing', well they just wanna sell.. The site is really beautiful and it's 8km, you don't wanna be stuck with some group. You can visit it by your own, take some breaks, and you can also take some sandwichs and water with you, because it will take your more than 3 hours to see everything and enjoy all the beautiful views.

  • Very popular tourist destination, very crowded with loads of tourists and guides... these are local people trying to earn a living HOWEVER.... Each tour guide only gets an allotted route so you don’t have time to explore all of Pompei. There are other areas that are under excavation also. And the “bodies of people are actually plaster casts and not real dead people ... they drilled through the solidified ash to the cavity left my the body and filled it with liquid plaster... Also most of the artefacts have been removed and various pots pans dead dogs can be viewed behind large wooden gates which are also crowded with tourists... The guide will then take you to a restaurant close by that does a very nice business in feeding tourists ... once in a life time experience!.

  • Well worth the visit. Even though you can’t physically visit the whole site in one day what you do see as part of the tour really puts it into perspective what happened all those years ago. A must if you visit but make sure you bring a drinks warm weather it’s thirsty work

  • Another part of this amazing city. As you walk around just look around. Even though the city is in ruin you will find so many things that will make you wow. All the paintings, writings and graffitis. It's just wow. Plus the size of the city and its complexity. Wow wow magical. It is a must without any doubt. There is a fee. But it's not expensive. You can also buy bundles like Vesuvius and Pompei excursions. This can save you a bit of hassle. But the entrance to the city is in the city so don't panic that you won't get in otherwise.
