Though only a hundred years old, the church has quickly shrouded itself in legend using one of the more traditional routes – stories of miracles among the worshippers and pilgrims who’ve visited it. It’s main attraction is the painting of “Our lady of the Rosary”, but that’s hardly the only note worthy bit of art. The interior décor is heart-wrenchingly intricate and beautiful, which, apart from the many frescoes and murals, contains a good number of paintings too. There’s an 80 metre high bell tower outside.

  • Entry is Free, EUR 2 to go to the top of the bell tower

  • Beautiful church but to us the main attraction was the bell tower. It was rather an awkward experience buying tickets since you have to buy them from the masseurs in the church’s store, but it was worth it. From top of the tower you’ll have a stunning panoramic view to Pompeii, the Vesuvius and all nearby area. Besides the ancient ruins, this is definitely a must when visiting Pompeii.

  • The church of the Archbishop and one of the most beautiful in the country.

  • An unexpected stop at this beautiful church. The ceiling is not as elaborate as the Sistine Chapel (well, nothing is), but it's still very beautiful. There were also incredible frescos at the sides. We walked in during an actual service. The bell tower appeared closed for now. The top line in Latin reads, "Come to me, everyone."

  • Wonderful church with a nice square and park to sit in, have an ice-cream and observe.

  • Amazing, vibrant frescos and a vibrant community
