By Train: The easiest way to visit Pompeii.

  • The Circumvesuviana Napoli-Sorrento line will take you to Pompeii Scavi (Ruins of Pompeii). You can leave your bags here at the station for about EUR 1.50. Don’t let luggage weigh down your trip to Pompeii.
  • Rome is EUR 11.20 and 2 hours 20 minutes by the train from Termini
  • Naples is EUR 3 from Circumvesuviana
  • Salerno runs a line to ‘Pompei’ station for EUR 2.10 and takes 25-45 minutes

By Bus: SITA runs buses to the site from Naples for about the same cost as a train.
