Laphroaig Distillery Reviews & Ratings
We did participate to Water to Whiskey Experience-tour. It was the most comprehensive tour which we did participated. Linda was an amazing tour guide! She did gave us very detailed tour regarding Laphroaig and whisky making. We did really enjoy our day at the Laphroaig. Top moment of the tour was the bottling of own whisky bottle directly from the cask. Thanks Laphroaig and Linda for making a special day for us! 😊👍
The tour was in depth and informative. It was fun to see how they get the peaty smokey flavour into the whisky. And the people there were incredibly nice and helpful. A fun visit in a lovely part of the world.
One of the biggest distilleries I’ve been too, it has very much a business vibe, not as warm or welcoming as some of the smaller distilleries on the island. Although, if you enjoy their whiskey, their tasting is definitely worth it. Great malts and if you’re lucky you might find someone very knowledgeable who can take you through the extensive range.
Wonderful tour. Very interesting. For £10 you get the tour, a free sampling glass to take away and 2 or 3 drams depending on which types of whisky you choose. Drivers can take their drams away in little bottles. A welcome addition was Arran cheese with oatcakes (plus a dram) in their tour waiting area as we had been told you could not get any food there.
Without question the best distillery we visited. The customer service was far and above better than Ardbeg and Lagavulin. Food and drams were great. The quality merchandise was reasonably priced. This distillery has a very good customer outreach program and the hospitality extends to the visitors that make the trip. Go place your flag on your square foot of Islay. Fantastic time!
