On the banks of Port Hardy, the Carrot Park is both a historic and a recreational site. The main highlight of the park is the huge sculpture of Carrot made of wood which even has the bite mark of a chunk out! The sculpture acts as a landmark to mark the completion of the Island Highway as promised by the Government. Beside the carrot, you will see the informative signboard depicting its history. The lush green space is perfect for walking or taking your dogs for a walk (poop bags are offered to the visitors for them to pick up after the dogs). The Carrot Park also has a kids’ playground and spacious lawn area to sit back while enjoying the view.
