Overlooking the Indian Ocean, Le Souffleur Island is one of the lesser-known islands of Mauritius and is blessed with a rugged wild landscape. The lookout will let you get engrossed in watching the waves crashing against the rocks and rise up to fifteen to twenty metres. The main attraction here is the half-formed grotto from where the fountain rises up to the most height. It is better to take a local person from Savannah Sugar Estate who will help you find the grotto that sprouts water like a whale blowhole and the naturally formed bridge. Le Souffleur is formed by volcanic rocks and it offers a perfect picnic ambience in the salty wilderness.
