About Pier Port Melbourne, Port Melbourne

Port Melbourne is a railway station in the Melbourne suburb of the same name located on the former Port Melbourne line, the first significant railway in Australia. The station was opened in 1854 to carry passengers arriving at Station Pier to Flinders Street Station. The railway line was closed in 1987 to be converted to light rail, currently route 109. The station building is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register and is located north of Beach Street and to the east of Canberra Parade, having since been converted into a medical centre and cafe to serve the recent residential developments in the area.

  • Pizza's are awesome. Service is good. Great views. Good ambience. Every time I've been here, I've had a really good experience. Last time, I asked for a seat by the fireplace and voila - they made it happen. They are great, highly recommend!

  • Classy! Fresh! Innovative! I love cycling through here or walk. Just magical to watch the ships from here. Australia is well maintained with our consciousness in keeping our beaches and area clean to protect the sea animals! Its a great wedding photo point! The tram stops right in front, making it convenient for those who catch the ferry! The whole area is also well endowed with cafes and different restaurants ! What a place to be at!! Calm, clean, peaceful!! Hope it helps!

  • Good food and good location close to the beach. Reasonably priced and service was ok as well.

  • Had my 21st here, my friend had her wedding reception here and we just attended another 21st here a few weeks back! Absolutely amazing food, with first class service! Has not changed one but since 2011. Hats off to you guys!!

  • “best of everything I could think of for my 40th birthday...” my partner and I looked all over Melbourne to find a venue for my 40th birthday. we finally decided on Pier which wasn't the cheapest in similar venues but seemed fair for value and services. so happy we did. from the first impression, they treated us like friends of their own, simple and straight to the point. not like a dollar sign with arms and legs!!! they had a wide range of options for food, drinks to choose from and they even let us customise from the list to accommodate all tastes without massive cost. sales manager Nicole Canepa, was very helpful and made sure that we had everything we asked for. the bartender and waiting staff were very friendly and always with a smile. for the food, we have a variety of canapes, sliders and pizzas and they were all delicious and nicely dished and served. We had the Beach Bar downstair and the place is well decorated and cosy, we even played our own music and I guess my friends had a really good night too, imagine a group of 30-40yrs old acting like in their 20s!!! Overall... Great Experience, would definitely suggest to a friend.
