As a casual gamer I really enjoy coming here to treat myself to some fun goodies. Their selection of used board games is INSANE and probably where I spend 50% of my browsing time. They have fair prices on Magic The Gathering cards and a huge selection as well including older sets. They are always stocked with everything for D&D from books to maps to figurines to paint for the figurines. Staff is also knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely recommend.
Big and crowded but well organized, everything went smoothly. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, multiple mtg judges among them, and didn't hesitate to lend land and dice. All that along with lots of giveaways and freebies as well all came together for an impressive experience.
They have a fantastic selection of games for sale. The library to play is also pretty big and meticulously organized. They organize the games so that they are very fast to setup and put away. For instance we played Clank! and each of the bags was labeled for each type of token.
After Max searched their inventory list to find that a game I was after was out of stock I was heartbroken, but returned to browsing with a thank you. Despite this he went above and beyond to go physically hunt for the game before finding it and then tracking me down on a busy Saturday afternoon. I was delighted and his service alone is enough to bring me back. On the other side: A petite, brown haired woman with a black hat and an eye patch over her brow, was backhanded and curt when she asked my group to move for a TCG tournament. Her approach was unwelcoming. I'll still return happily to Guardian Games if not for Max, for the selection of board games, cards, and tabletop paraphernalia, as well as the ample seating. Thank you again Max!
Excellent gaming store, probably the best in the Portland metro area. Unfortunately they know this and the prices are starting to reflect it. Awesome place to come in for event s and gaming, but I recommend window shopping. Most of their items can be found for much cheaper elsewhere or online.
