There are dozens of private farms and gardens and nurseries in the Sauvie Island area, but this one, operated by David and Vicki Egger, is probably the most popular produce market of them all. Depending on the season they grow strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, cherries, peaches, pears, cabbage, lettuce, spinach, zucchini, cucumbers, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet corn, tomatoes, flowers and herbs. At Christmas time this is also a great place to pick up a fir tree to decorate, and also wreaths and garlands. The best part is you get to pick your own produce off their plants. The pumpkin patch is especially fun.

Such a cool place, it really feels so fresh here with the farms on this island and the friendly people. They make great food here too, I had delicious wood fire pizza and my wife big hot dog.

  • My family had a wonderful time on Summer Solstice exploring the farm and picking fresh berries. I have never in my life smelled fresh strawberries growing like that. It was of the most amazing scents ever.

  • We picked strawberries and blueberries last weekend. The strawberries were so sweet! We absolutely loved the tractor ride back from the blueberry patch. Our 10 month old enjoyed the ride in the cart.

  • Yums I got a couple days ago, great people running it and the produce has all been top notch. I'll be back, and back again. Great prices, contact them for that.

  • Hood strawberries were delicious. They have a strict “no eating” policy but our kids understood and did great.

  • We had a wonderful visit to Sauvie Island Farms - it's very well organised and accessible, with a great variety of fresh produce on offer.
