St. Johns Bridge Reviews & Ratings
We are so lucky living in an area that has such magnificent bridges! Portland is definitely unique and wonderful. Crossing the Willamette River, St. Johns Bridge stands tall with the highest boat clearance at 205 feet. It’s two Gothic Towers, that influenced the naming of adjacent Cathedral Park, stand at 400 feet! Either side of the River has great areas to visit, whether it is Cathedral Park or Forest Park. It is only one of three suspension bridges in Oregon. It is unmistakable, very beautiful, and quite stunning to see.
Beautiful bridge across river. You can take a walk in the park under, also to the bank. Good place to find some peace. I went there in fall, the rail road nearby and the colorful leaves is a plus to the picture you take. Too much homeless camper though.
Talk about the most amazing backdrop! The colors of the bridge melt so well with the trees behind it. The lines create amazing shapes. And even if it's raining, you're covered underneath it. The parking lot nearby helps too ;) Driving over the bridge is a wee bit scary, but it's so worth it!!
Most beautiful bridge in Portland, designed by the same person as the Golden Gate in San Francisco. Old style charm. Fantastic view. You can walk or bike across safely.
Beautiful bridge. You can also walk on it and do a hike on forest Park, it also has cathedral park by the river. This place is just beautiful; and you can also see Mt. Hood and Mt Saint Helen's on a clear day.
