This bridge, completed in 2015 is considered widely to be the most beautiful bridge in the city. You can walk across it, cycle across it, take a bath, a street car or light rail but you cannot drive across it. That makes it the first Bridge of its kind in the country. It is 520 meters long, 55 meters high end 23 meters above the water. Naturally it is a terrific place to catch the sunset or sunrise. It provides a lot of incredible photographic opportunities, and is rapidly becoming a part of the city’s image. The bridges link to by groups on both sides of the river. The name, ‘Tilikum’ means people, and it is literally supposed to translate into the ‘Bridge of the people’.
