Excellent food and service! Phenomenal menu - interesting choices. The lamb was superb, the octopus, mussels and clams was so delicious - it was not chewy at all. Highly recommended!
We got the chefs tasting menu. Everything is absolutely phenomenal. The menu of tapas is huge, so letting them put it together makes for an amazing experience. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. Make sure you get there with time, since it fills up quickly and they don't take reservations.
The wait seems unbearable but stick it out. It is worth it! The service is impeccable and the waiters know every detail of the dozens and dozens of options and are willing to provide suggestions. Every single dish we ordered was fantastic. They come out in a steady stream and when you think the last one can't be beaten they manage to top it. Probably the best meal we have had since coming to Portland.
This is a quaint little place - great ambience and lighting and the food was amazing. The prices are a little on the pricier side but let me tell you - it is worth every cent. It is really hard to find a great tapas place there days, believe me or not. This one checks out all the boxes. There is always a wait so be prepared to wait. Finding parking is a little hard because it's in a crowded residential area, so street parking is your best bet. Their menu is extensive and they have a huge variety. The lamp bun was really good and so fast the tapas with seafood. They have a nice drink collection going all the way up to the top end selections. Great for a romantic date as well as groups. They have a bar area, a general seating area, a few tables for waiting and a separated seating that looks like a room. Definitely would recommend.
I often dream about the food at Toro Bravo. If I won the lottery I would eat here every day, and every time I go to another restaurant I wish I was here. I would give my left kidney for a lifetime supply of tapas. If everyone ate here we would have no war. Their servers could negotiate peace treaties and we could adopt kisses as our new currency. Seriously, any time spent not eating here is a waste.
