The Parque Nacional Guaricana or Guaricana National Park sprawling over 494.93 square kilometres of the area is a designated IUCN II Category Park. Containing some part of the Atlantic Forest, the park overlooks the Guaratuba Bay and has an abundance of mixed deciduous forest and dense rainforest with form an abode for rich flora and fauna. On the higher elevation, you will also find alpine meadows and sparse vegetation on the Igreja and Canavieiras ranges. The Sagrado and Pinto River meanders through the deep cut valleys of the mountainous terrains of Parque Nacional Guaricana.
