The Chapel Of Souls or Capela Das Almas boasts of the stunning facade made of white and blue tiles that depict the scenes from the life of saints including Saint Catherine and Saint Francis of Assisi. Dating back to early 18th-century, the tiles of the Chapel Of Souls were restored in the year 1982. Within the 360 square metres of are of the exterior facade, 15947 tiles are arranged neatly in depicting the stories of the saints’ lives. The interior of the chapel is distinct in the way it “hides” the image of Our Lady of the Souls –Nossa Senhora das Almas.
