We arrived from the States with a minute to spare for the 10.45 am free walking tour - we had booked online ahead of time. It started slowly with everyone introducing themselves but after grabbing coffee to go in the rail station while Pedro spoke it was just terrific even after a night without sleep. Pedro gave us asides and comments that were even more interesting than the history, his enthusiasm and sense of humor had us all giving him a standing ovation, even without the chocolate cake. After the tour, he took time to help several of us with our onward plans. We wished that we had had time to take the different 3.30 tour. I hope everyone left generous tips on this free tour, well worth it.!
We did both a free walking tour and a Port wine tour on the same day. The walking tour was an excellent introduction to Porto, Daniel was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. In the afternoon we were treated to some excellent Port at three cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. David knew the answer to all of our questions. Not only that, but he remembered us and waved at us while he was on another tour two days later.
What makes or breaks a walking tour is your guide. Our guide, Nuno, was superb! You rock! Highly recommended. Victor -Puerto Rico
Outstanding guides. We had the joy of once joining Nuno and once joining David for both their free walking tours. Although the quality of free walking tours is increasing in a lot of cities. These guys gave that much more. Couldn't recommend them more.
Súper! Such a good mix of basic info, fun info, background info and LOCALS'-only. 3 hours of educational entertainment!
