  • We go for swimming lessons so can only review that area and lobby. The staff are always friendly. The hotel is clean and tidy. There is a lift down to the pool area. The pool area is always clean and tidy, the pool is warm and I can stand up in it, the water generally comes up to my shoulders (I am 5 foot). There is a jacuzzi there which looks lovely and inviting. Changing rooms are spacious and there are plenty of shower cubicles. The lockers are a little small for all of our gear (babies come along with so much!) but if you were a guest at the hotel they would be big enough.

  • Position of the hotel is ideal for visiting Portsmouth. Amazing breakfast. Friendly staff. Very clean. The hotel really does need to be refurbished. We enjoyed our stay.

  • Bed very comfortable breakfast plentiful and good had one evening meal here which was lovely... had the duck. Good position for ferry to IOW and Gosport great location for station and old dockyard all in all a lovely visit.

  • I was Probably a bit starry eyed. But I liked it. Looks old fashioned but it reminds me of the home club. This traditional look is becoming more and more original and will never come back once it has disappeared. The restaurant food was very nice and breakfast was first class. Money is being spent to renovate the rooms. All the amenities are great bowling, snooker etc. The swimming pool has been recently improved. On the money !

  • Simple but nice. Recently refurbished room. Food was nice, good food, with focus on the food rather than presentation
