The beautiful North-West University Botanical Garden is located on the Potchefstroom Campus of the North-West University and is the only botanical garden in the North West Province of South Africa. Spreading across three hectares of land, this public garden dates back to 1962. Dr. Wynand Louw, a botany lecturer, requested land so that he could plant material needed for botany laboratory sessions and that is how this garden was born. Featuring theme gardens, tropical greenhouse and a succulent greenhouse, a visit to this garden is a must.
