The Gedenk- und Begegnungsstatte Leistikowstrasse was the central investigation prison of the Soviet military. The place preserves the prison cell, original wooden planks, carcasses, gratings, visors and remains of the barriers and frames of the building.
The prison was a part of ‘Military town 7’- the nucleus of most important Soviet intelligence centers in Germany and is one of the many historic buildings on the street. A visit here is surreal and showcases the life of prison in the 1940’s.
